For 7 years Lawson worked with technical writers for Australia’s largest banks, telecommunications, private organisations and the Australian Federal Government to communicate to indigenous communities. What happens when your audience suffers from illiteracy, or their written language system is not standardized and equally distributed? Technical writing needs to be communicated in alternative formats such as subtitling, e-Learning or audio.

Biography

Since the age of 22, Lawson has been involved in problem solving multilingual communications in various communities across Australia, Canada and the EU. Lawson has combined his education and experience as an interpreter, translator, consultant, and advisory over the last 14 years to bridge the communication gap. Lawson has been fortunate to write for Multilingual Magazine, Interview with Nimdzi and LocDiscussions (Stefan Huyghe) as a subject matter expert.
