Level up your Technical Communication!
Technical communication is undergoing a profound transformation. New regulations such as the EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 and emerging concepts like the Digital Product Passport are reshaping how product information is created, structured, and delivered. At the same time, automation, AI-supported workflows, and Docs-as-Code approaches are pushing documentation teams toward more integrated, data-driven content ecosystems. This conference explores how technical communicators can navigate these changes—from regulatory compliance and sustainable documentation to AI, UX writing, and the evolving skills needed for the profession.
Let’s share our knowledge on what we have learned on the way and get inspired for our own journey.
We are looking for presentations on the following topics:
- Education and Career Development
- UX Writing
- Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 (MR) (transition from directive to regulation, how to prepare documentation teams for 2027, digital vs. paper instructions, legal boundaries)
- Digital Product Passport (integration of DPP into PLM and CMS systems, metadata, from manuals to product data ecosystems)
- Workflow Transformation (Docs-as-Code, tool transitions, User Experience, User Assistance)
- Automation Processes (CI/CD pipelines for technical documentation)
- Localization and Global Content Strategies (content maturity, regulatory compliance)
- Sustainability and Green Documentation (digital-first and minimalist design, eco-friendly content, sustainable workflows, regulatory compliance and circularity)
- AI in Technical Communication (prompt engineering for technical writers, human in the loop)
- Software Documentation (standards and new regulations)
