Contents

In rapid-growth manufacturing, relying on foreign supplier documentation for localized operator training introduces high operational risks. Drawing on experiences scaling gigafactories across Europe, including Northvolt, this session explores how technical communication leaders can transform complex supplier documentation into robust, localized training content. Rather than covering basic technical writing, we will dive into advanced Content Operations (ContentOps) strategies. We will analyze a data-driven framework for evaluating supplier content and integrating it into internal training methodologies. Attendees will learn how to bridge the gap between static machinery documentation and the factory floor, move beyond supplier dependency, and scale workforce readiness to drive sustainable success in the green energy transition.

Takeaways

  • Evaluate & adapt foreign supplier docs for local training.
  • Build ContentOps frameworks for operator upskilling.
  • Future-proof internal expertise.

Prior knowledge

Attendees should have an intermediate-to-advanced understanding of technical documentation management or Content Operations. No prior knowledge of battery manufacturing is required, as the focus will be on scalable training operations. The interactive portion will involve an exercise on creating training content for a simple everyday machine, such as a coffee maker, so advanced manufacturing machine knowledge is also not necessary.
