Marion Wittkowsky is participating at this event in her function as scientific research assistant at TH Lübeck. In addition to her position as lecturer at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, the linguist owns a position in a project at TH Lübeck, where she is currently working at a study on industrial doctorates. Research and knowledge transfer in cooperation with companies have accompanied her since the beginning of her professional career, and it is an important part of her work. It is only a few years ago that Marion herself successfully finished her dissertation project, in which she was supported by a company allowing her to use their software for her research activities. Moreover, students were acting as test persons performing useful knowledge work. A well-functioning cooperation of companies and Universities of Applied Sciences, especially by supporting dissertation projects, to Marion's opinion is a sustainability strategy, where all parties may benefit from.
